On September 29 of 2021, Mr. Cui Baoshi, President of China National Institute of Education Sciences (NIES) met with representatives from Springer Group and McGraw-Hill, Inc. at the Beijing Convention Center. Mr. Niels Peter Thomas, President of Springer Group and Ms. Zhang Miao, Head of Education Editorial Department of Springer Group, Mr. Lyu Kai, Director of McGraw-Hill, Inc. Asia and Ms. Fan Ying, Director of McGraw-Hill, Inc. China, Mr. Ma Tao, Vice President of NIES and Mr. Li Dong, President of Education Science Publishing House, attended the meeting.
President Cui Baoshi expressed a warm welcome to the delegation led by Mr. Niels Peter Thomas and spoke highly of his outstanding contribution in promoting academic exchanges between China and abroad. Mr. Niels Peter Thomas highly appreciated the fruitful cooperation between our institute and Springer Group in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. Both sides reviewed a series of excellent books published recently and agreed that the cooperation of both sides has built a bridge for Chinese and foreign educational academic exchanges, which is conducive to Chinese educational research and academic achievements going to the world. President Cui Baoshi invited Mr. Niels Peter Thomas to participate in the "Third Belt and Road Education Dialogue" to be held by the NIES in November this year, and Mr. Niels Peter Thomas gladly accepted the invitation.

Asia, and both sides exchanged views on the translation and publication of the results of collaborative project themed "A Satisfactory Education for the People - National Education Satisfaction Survey Report".
