The launch event of the pilot“Outline for Teaching Reform on Physical Education and Health”was hosted on 12th December 2020 in East China Normal University. Representatives from government agencies in education, experts, principals and representatives from governing board of renowned companies attended the meeting. The outline was developed by NIES under the authorization of Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, Ministry of Education. Dr. Yu Sumei, deputy director of Physical, Health and Arts Education Research Center, introduced the outline at the launch event on behalf of the research group.
The outline aims at providing theoretical and practical guidance on advancing physical education and its reform in schools, and includes the measures for the reform of physical education, which improves its efficiency and governance.
The outline is expected to be published in due course.
