NIES Party Secretary Addressed the Commemorative event for 100th Anniversary of Sukhomlynsky’s Birth in Ukraine

Upon the invitation of the National Academy of Education Sciences (NAES) of Ukraine and Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University, a six-member delegation from the National Institute of Educational Sciences – led by Party Secretary Yin Changchun – attended the “10th Seminar on the International Science Practice”, namely the “25th All-Ukrainian Pedagogical Readings” on October 2nd–7th, 2018. It was part of commemorations to mark the centenary of world-famous educator Sukhomlynsky’s birth.


Yin Changchun addressed the opening ceremony and made a keynote presentation titled Dissemination and Impact of Sukhomlynsky’s Educational Thought in China from the Perspective of Publication. A video – produced by the Educational Science Publishing House of the NIES, which reviewed Sukhomlynsky’s life – was then played for those attending the seminar. It was well received by all, and won high praise especially from the Ukrainian side.


On October 3, the delegation visited NAES of Ukraine. PresidentMr. Vasyl Kremen welcomed the Chinese delegation, and he was joined by Mr. Volodymyr Luhovyi, First Vice President of NAES; Mr. Olexandra Savchenko, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky; and Ms. Suhomlinskaya, an academician from NAES. Both sides had an in-depth discussion on issues of mutual interest. Yin Changchun then invited Mr. Kremen to attend the 2nd Belt and Road Education Dialogue to be held in the following month.


During the conference, the delegation also visited the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine and Pavlysh Secondary School where Sukhomlynsky worked and lived until his death.
