The Sixth Meeting of the Heads of the Chinese, Japanese and Korean National Institutes of Educational Research held at NIES

  The Sixth Meeting of the Heads of the Chinese, Japanese and Korean National Institutes of Educational Research was held at the National Institute of Education Sciences (NIES) on November 10th, 2016.

  Dr. Tian Huisheng, President of the National Institute of Education Sciences, Dr. Minatoya Haruo, Deputy Director-General of the Japanese National Institute for Educational Policy Research (NIER), and Dr. Chaechun Gim, President of the Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI) attended the meeting. They were joined by 20 representatives from the three institutes. Dr. Tian Huisheng detailed the current under-takings of the institute. The three leaders introduced recent research programs at their respective institutes and discussed collaborative mechanisms for the next meeting of the heads of the Chinese, Japanese and Korean National Institutes of Educational Research. The meeting was presided over by Liu Jianfeng, Vice President of NIES.

  Representatives from Japan and Korea also participated in a series of activities of the “G20 Education Dialogue” hosted by the NIES.
