NIES President Meets with New Zealand MOE Chief Science Advisor

On May 20th, 2019, NIES President Cui Baoshi met with Professor Stuart McNaughton, Chief Science Advisor for the Ministry of Education of New Zealand, Director of the Woolf Fisher Research Centre of the University of Auckland and a professor in the Faculty of Education.

Cui first briefed Professor McNaught on the institute's function and research areas as well as its role in educational policy-making in China. Professor McNaughton then shared the ongoing work at the Woolf Fisher Research Centre of the University of Auckland. The meeting addressed topics such as artificial intelligence and education, pre-school education, and research on educational policies. Both parties indicated they would like to see more cooperation in certain areas.
